Vision

The target group
 
We will welcome an international social environment in Gammalstorp.

It is for business people, artists, intellectuals, spiritual people, retired and other economically independent, but also for very young people and students - in short, for all open, peace-loving individuals who want a balanced life in closer contact with nature and themselves.

From our side, we think that it will be great if some of the residents have valuable skills in healing, how to develop the holistic person or artistic activity here in the very center Scania with easy acces from all sides. - You are warmly welcome to join. 

The vision

We look for a balance where the desire for privacy and individuality are respected in full, but at the same time there are also larger and richer opportunities for socializing and activities as desired. We will support joint arrangements for setting up:

• Pooled or shared cars for people who do not have a daily high transportation needs. This means that a group organized as an association, share for instance 2-3 cars. There has been lots of experience on this matter, and it is environmentally friendly.
• Timeshare boat in Österlen, at the sea for those who are interested
• Timeshare boat in Ringsjøen, Skåne's largest lake (10 km from the area as the crow flies)
• Timeshare cottage in Österlen at the sea
• Timeshare apartment or house in Copenhagen etc. which can be used for vacation or accommodation in connection with work.
• It would also be possible for the the residents to have access to additional land for gardening. It should be possible to construct a large greenhouse which may be used by several residents.
• With the establishment of a 'retreat' on the spot, there should be a possibility that you can rent a room/house to visiting residents, which will benefit your finances as well.

The different activities can unfold through informal and formal associations formed around each activity and thus you can  participate where you feel like - and you can also choose not to participate at all. What can be realized depends on the residents themselves. It has been shown that such cross cutting associations are ideal for creating a social cohesion. Tribes are organised in this way, therefore we have a model for good cooperation.

There is one mandatory association which already exists and takes care of the road and water supply from a private waterworks which supplies the best water in the whole municipality.

Location

The landscape is very diverse and attractive nature:

• The area is beautiful beech forest, and there is an exclusive silence. The last 4 km are along small roads leading away from the motorway.
• It is located in Scania by Hørby: click here (and enter 'gammalstorp Hörby' in the search field). There are many stone walls surrounding the fields, vast forest, lakes and charming villages and it is little cultivated. 
• There is a good hour to Copenhagen on highway. There are less than 40 minutes by car to Malmo and roughly the same distance to the coast to the south.
• There is less to Österlen which is a much sought holiday resort on the east coast of Skåne with many apple orchards, 
• And to the north the forests continue into Småland. There are great opportunities for varied experiences in nature and the surrounding cultural attractions.
